Line-of-Duty Deaths Report – June 2017
The IACP has revised the monthly line-of-duty deaths (LODD) report. The monthly LODD report is a joint publication of the IACP and the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP) and is a product of IACP President De Lucca’s Task Force to Address Violence Against the Police. IACP and ODMP are committed to honoring fallen law enforcement officers while also raising awareness about line-of-duty deaths, including related trends and causal factors.

Get Involved in IACP’s Policy Development
Each year, individual members, committees, sections, and divisions are given the opportunity to submit resolutions for the membership’s consideration. Through this process, the association membership addresses critical issues facing law enforcement. The resolution binds the official actions of the IACP staff and activities and serves as the guiding statement in accomplishing the work of the association.The deadline to submit all 2017 resolutions for consideration is August 22, 2017.

IACP Foundation's Still Heroes Scholarship Application
Just two more days to apply for scholarships for the 2017/2018 academic year. Wednesday is the deadline for the IACP Foundation's Still Heroes Scholarship Fund - total of seven scholarships to help injured officers and their families. Five scholarships are available to college students for the 2017-2018 academic year. Or earn a Bachelor's or Master's degree online or on campus through the University of Phoenix.

Supporting Procedural Justice For People With Intellectual Disabilities
IACP Board member and Midsize Agencies Division member, Chief Will Johnson, Arlington, Texas, Police Department co-authored an article on evidence-based policing practices that support procedural justice for people with intellectual disabilities in this month's Impact magazine. Impact is published by the Institute on Community Integration (UCEDD), and the Research and Training Center on Community Living and Employment (RTC), College of Education and Human Development, University of Minnesota.
